Join me on a 10 day itinerary into one of the most special and unexplored parks in Africa!
Zakouma National Park, managed by African Parks and the Chadian government is renowned for its dramatic recovery from poaching, it hosts over 500 African bush elephants, 50% of the world's critically endangered Kordofan giraffe population, and over 370 bird species.
A truly unique, off-the-beaten-track adventure where their visit directly contributes towards an ongoing conservation success story. Zakouma’s recovery is nothing short of remarkable and has set it on the firm path to becoming one of the continent’s top (and most unusual) safari destinations. Group travel for me is an exciting way to meet other like minded people and share the costs of transport on an adventure. Often these remote and adventurous destinations can involve difficult logistics and are therefore financially expensive. In small groups this cost can be shared and make it more affordable. Having hosted in lodges for the last 4 years often I had guest and friends asking if they could come on the next adventure and during my extensive travels across Africa I always met new friends. Combining the two seemed like a “no-brainer”. Your vibe attracts your tribe, so join me on some exciting adventures across the continent! Guaranteed laughs, enthusiastic chats about dung beetles, some tracker training and some photography advice. It brings me immense joy to host people and have them leave with a smile on their face! I cannot wait to take you to some very special parts of Africa!
Reviews:
I first met Chloe in December 2023 on a phenomenal trip to Gabon. Since then, I’ve travelled with her on several occasions and got to know her in various roles. As a lodge manager in Zambia’s famous South Luangwa National Park, I have always found her to be extremely courteous and warm. Guest safety is always her top priority, without things ever feeling too rigid. Her briefings are always clear and concise, and she is happy to fulfil even the most demanding requests from guests promptly and with a lot of empathy.
Chloe’s qualities really come into their own when she is hosting tours and game drives: her many years of experience in the tourism and wildlife industry are just as helpful as her extensive knowledge of wildlife. And her enthusiasm and passion for wildlife are inspiring and are sure to win everyone over! I could not think of a better host.
Finally, allow me to add a personal remark: Now that we’ve been on a few trips, both for work and in our free time, I have to say I couldn’t imagine a better travel buddy than Chloe!
